Respiratory Question for the Week of November 14, 2022

Question:

May we bill G codes to bill for the demonstration of a nebulizer or an inhaler device?

Answer:

Do not use the G codes to bill for a demonstration of a nebulizer or inhaler device or for demonstrating chest percussion techniques. The code 94664 is to be reported for demonstration and evaluation of an aerosol generator, nebulizer, metered dose inhaler, or IPPB device.
