The following are the appropriate codes to report, according to the National Correct Coding Initiative Policy Manual for Medicare Services:
| 20220 | Biopsy, bone, trocar, or needle; superficial (e.g., ilium, sternum, spinous process, ribs) |
| 88307 | Level V—surgical pathology, gross and microscopic examination |
