Content, Schedule Announced for New RACmonitor/ICD10monitor Webcast Series

The educational content and schedule for the upcoming Open Door Forum Webcast series produced by RACmonitor and ICD10monitor have been unveiled.

The announcement was made by Publisher Chuck Buck. Topics to be covered on Wednesdays throughout June and July include the following:

  • Confronting the Mental Health Crisis;
  • Vaccination Nation – Navigating New Rules, Risks & Reimbursement;
  • LGBTQ+ Concerns in Medical Coding and Compliance;
  • Article Intelligence (AI) and Medical Coding;
  • Assisted Suicide: Ethics and the Conflicting Landscape Faced by Clinicians and Hospitals;
  • The Changing Face of Addiction: Coding, Compliance & Care;
  • Fraud Detection in Healthcare – Spot Red Flags, Avoid Liability; and,
  • Denials, Documentation, and Revenue Integrity.

These educational webcasts will supplement the ongoing news and information published weekly by RACmonitor and ICD10monitor.

“The concept is to provide an open door to the latest developments in regulatory news and healthcare policy,” Buck said.

The topics were selected specifically to provide updates on issues hospitals face on a daily basis, with renowned subject-matter experts leading each webcast. Attendees can ask questions and engage directly with the experts.

“This series is being prepared for subscribers to both RACmonitor and ICD10monitor,” Buck said. “It is designed to provide exclusive access to vital information about top trending topics that are impacting healthcare from a compliance and auditing lens.”

Buck, who also hosts Monitor Mondays and Talk Ten Tuesdays, two weekly live podcasts, will host this series with each respective presenter.

“These will be live, fast-paced, 30-minute webcasts,” he explained. “The sessions have been designed to provide healthcare professionals with the information they need for real-time insights.”

Each weekly webcast is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EST. The first webcast, Confronting the Mental Health Crisis, is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, featuring internationally renowned psychiatrist H. Steven Moffic, MD. as presenter. On the following Wednesday, June 18, Dr. John K. Hall will present “Vaccination Nation,” addressing issues related to vaccinations.

“Dr. Hall is uniquely qualified to discuss this issue, which of late has become embroiled in politics,” Buck said. “He is both a physician and attorney.”

The remaining schedule will be as follows:

  • On Wednesday, June 25, Penny Jefferson will present on unique issues providers may face while providing services to LGBTQ+ patients;
  • On Wednesday, July 2, Christine Geiger will present on the intersection of AI and Medical Coding;
  • On Wednesday, July 9, Dr. Moffic will return to present on Assisted Suicide: Ethics and the Conflicting Landscape Faced by Clinicians and Hospitals;
  • On Wednesday, July 16, Dr. Hall will return to present on the topic of Addiction;
  • On Wednesday, July 23, Frank Cohen will present on the topic of Fraud Detection; and
  • On Wednesday, July 30, Jefferson will return to present on the topic of Denials, Documentation, and Revenue Integrity.
