– DECEMBER 2021 –
Dear Colleague,
You and I have experienced a sea change this past year in our world of healthcare coding, compliance, documentation, and revenue cycle.
We are traveling together on a new journey that is sure to test our resilience, in some senses like those citizens strapping into seats of a private enterprise’s rocket.
We’re together now on this journey, navigating regulations, coding clinics, and final rules. And, as with the rockets, there’s the need to avoid debris.
Fortunately, you have as crew members the very best professionals, who come prepared each and every Tuesday on our Talk Ten Tuesdays podcast, now going on for more than a decade. And to keep you up to date with the very latest news, we have the finest team of experts who report to you each Tuesday on ICD10monitor.
So, in light of this, I publicly thank Erica Remer, Gloryanne Bryant, Shannon DeConda, Colleen Deighan, Rose Dunn, Cheryl Ericson, Terry Fletcher, Glenn Krauss, Deb Grider, Susan Gatehouse, Kristi Powell, Laurie Johnson, Stanley Nachimson, Tim Powell, Mary Stanfill, John Zelem and my dear friend and mentor, H. Steven Moffic, MD, one of this country’s most prominent psychiatrists. To those of you I have missed, my apologies, and this oversight by no means diminishes the respect we have for you and your contributions.
Buckle up. We’re in for an amazing journey in 2022, with ICD-11 on the horizon.
Chuck Buck
