Question:

When do we report 92920 as opposed to 92921?

Answer:

Code 92920 describes angioplasty (PTCA) within a major coronary artery (left main, LAD, LCX, RCA, ramus intermedius) or a branch of the major coronary artery (LAD, LCX, RCA). Code 92921 describes angioplasty (PTCA) within each branch of a major coronary artery (LAD, LCX, RCA) and represents an add-on code to the primary intervention.
