Question:

What is MQSD?

Answer:

The Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSD) was originally passed by Congress in 1992 in order to guarantee quality mammography for early breast cancer detection. The law grants the FDA oversight of mammography facilities, including critical factors such as certification, accreditation, annual inspections, and enforcement of standards to reinforce the quality care given by mammography facilities.
