What are the CMS market baskets used for?
The CMS market baskets are used to update payments and cost limits in the various fee-for-service CMS payment systems. The CMS market baskets reflect input price inflation facing providers in the provision of medical services. Will apply a reporting factor of 0.9805 to the OPPS payments and copayments for all applicable services.
